Ticket Prices Leave Fans Divided
Despite the excitement, fans have voiced frustration over the steep ticket prices for the Lucknow show, which range from Rs 7,850 to an eye-popping Rs 1,89,087 for VIP lounge access. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also expressed concerns over the exorbitant pricing. Meanwhile, black marketing of tickets on platforms like Facebook and Instagram has added to fans’ woes, with many being sold at inflated rates.
A fan shared on social media, “I managed to get a gold ticket for Rs 8,000, but it’s heartbreaking that many of my family members couldn’t join me due to the cost.” Others argued that tickets for an artist like Diljit, known for his grounded persona, should be more affordable.
Heightened Security Measures
The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has implemented extensive security arrangements to ensure the smooth execution of the event. DCP South Keshav Kumar revealed that over 500 police personnel, including 3 ADCPs, 7 ACPs, and 15 inspectors, will oversee security. Special measures have been taken to manage traffic and prevent ticket black marketing.
JCP Lucknow Amit Verma recently inspected the stadium, instructing officials to maintain order from entry points to parking areas. Entry for pass holders started at 4 PM, while general audience members entry started 5 PM. Route diversions were implemented as necessary to accommodate VIP movement and concert traffic.
