Mumbai: Singer Nishant Mukta’s journey on Rusk Media and Alright TV’s IPop Star Vol 2 came to an unexpected end in the third week after he forgot the lyrics during his performance. While the elimination marked a challenging moment in his journey, Nishant has chosen to view the experience as a lesson in preparation, resilience and personal growth. Following the elimination, fans have also been expressing their support through the online sentiment ‘Bring Nishant Back’, urging the show to give him another opportunity.
Speaking about the incident, Nishant says, “I feel life is unpredictable, and anything can happen at any time. I try to stay grounded and remind myself that anything is possible. Forgetting lyrics or getting eliminated is part of the game, and I accept the outcome. If I forgot the lyrics, then I understand why I was eliminated. But one thing I have learned is that preparation has to be complete, and proper sleep is equally important. I hadn’t slept properly, and a few other things had happened as well.”
Despite the setback, the singer is grateful for the support he has received from audiences. He believes that one performance should not overshadow an artist’s overall potential or musical journey.
“Ever since my song UP Wali Larki came out, people have given me so much love, and I want to express my gratitude through my music. If people want me to return to the show, I would love to come back. Of course, the decision rests with the show. I also feel that forgetting lyrics can happen to anyone, and an artist’s entire musical journey should not be judged on the basis of one such moment,” he shares.
Nishant also speaks warmly about his experience with mentor King, adding that he considers every artist on the show a mentor in some way. “One thing I learned from King bhai was the importance of remaining humble. The way he guided me made me feel that there are people who approach life like I do, and I learned a lot from him,” he says.

Looking ahead, Nishant believes that his musical journey has only just begun. He reveals that his performances on IPop Star Vol 2 showcased only a fraction of his creative abilities.
“I have so much more to show the world. So far, I have only shown the fun side of my music. I have many experiments planned, including songs that explore emotions. People should expect much bigger things from me,” he says.
Addressing fans campaigning for his return, Nishant concludes, “Please keep trying and spreading the word. Tell more people that Nishant should come back. Your support means a lot to me, and I hope I get another opportunity to return to the stage.”
