600 Rallies in 100 Days
Varanasi: The Congress party has devised a new strategy to engage with voters in Uttar Pradesh. As part of this initiative, the party will launch a voter outreach mega campaign in every assembly constituency. Over the course of 100 days, approximately 600 rallies will be organized, aiming to collect pledges from around one lakh people. The campaign is set to commence from the Nizamabad Assembly constituency in Azamgarh on February 28.
With an eye on the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Congress is actively preparing for the electoral battle. While it remains undecided whether the party will contest in alliance with the Samajwadi Party or other political groups, it is leaving no stone unturned in strengthening its direct connection with voters. This initiative is a crucial part of the party’s outreach efforts.
The mega campaign, titled ‘Namaste Nizamabad,’ has been entrusted to Anil Yadav, the outgoing State Organization General Secretary of the party. The campaign will focus on key issues such as education, healthcare, employment, social justice, caste census, and constitutional protection. Each gram panchayat will host three rallies as part of this movement.
Overall, 500 to 600 rallies will be conducted across the entire assembly constituency. During these events, over one lakh people will be encouraged to sign commitment letters in support of the party’s vision. Additionally, a 51-member Nizamabad Action Committee will be formed to oversee and drive the campaign forward.
