Aspiring to give Lucknow heritage status

Lucknow: The Indo American Chamber of Commerce in association with Assocham UP organized an intellectual meet titled “The growth and development of any city is the highest calling of any leadership”and how “Intellectual property is the key aspect of any economic or cultural development for Lucknow.

The chief guest of the event Neeraj Singh, Chairman of Young Business Leaders Forum UP State Council FICCI highlighted how the growth and development of a city indeed stand as one of the paramount responsibilities of its leadership.

The guest of honour included NamrataPathak and AparnaYadav. Other dignitaries present were Mukesh Singh,. DP Singh, Jayant Krishna, Pravin Dwivedi among other experts from across verticals were present.  Mukesh Singh convened the entire event.

Neeraj Singh speaking as the FICCI chairman, state Council said that the enthusiasm is always appreciated. He said that any and every sector consider the fact that economy has risen. With human resource with optimum use things for India are better than China and America. He said the image of UP is changing and the Investor summits or ground breaking ceremony is proof of the work.

Speaking in front of an august gathering Jayant Krishna, heritage evangelist said, “Lucknow is very famous for heritage zones it is well recorded for dance, food and even the chikankari. He said, the PM, CM and the local MP Rajnath Singh have everything that it takes to turn around Lucknow city. He said effort should be made so that Lucknow can be turned into an UNESCO Heritage site.

Dr Anil Kumar Rastogi a face from the theatre community and Bollywood said that the development in the city has been good. There is a film city Noida, but ironically most artists come from North India but be it Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur or Kanpur one unit should preferably be from Lucknow. This is keeping in mind the fact that BNA, the Bhatkhande University deemed University, Sangeet Natak Akademi among others. He said that it is important to note that around 15 to 20 shoots per day happen in Lucknow on a good day.

Speaking on behalf of HCL Kirti Karamchandani said that compared to 2016, HCL has doubled it’s impact. Survived in past 6 to 7 years and gone up from 0 to 10 thousand employees. She said with HCL coming to the city, there was good workspace, closer to home. Calling urgent attention, she said with Metro and low floor AC buses much comfort can be provided to the workforce.

Businessman Sandeep Kohli talking of the business environment of the city said that with retail, development, safety and security on focus much has changed under Rajnath Singh.

Speaking at the event, businessman Hasan Yakub said that e-commerce from the point of view of arts has always been a very crucial driving force. He said at a personal level, Amazon and Flipkart  has worked on pushing forward the much needed ODOP sector with help from CM and MP.

Noted journalist Hemant Tiwari said that it is a proud moment for having a visionary Rajnath Singh at the helm of affairs. He said the good work done, keeping in mind the various developments that are happening like river front or JPNIC they must be carried forward. He said as far as the police commissionerate is concerned, I feel much needs to be done.

Senior Journalist, Naval Kant Sinha said everybody come from outside to visit old Lucknow, but there is need to understand the needs from a tourist point of view and build a food court in old Lucknow.

Shiv Sharan a noted face in the media industry said that Rajnath Singh has always been a problem solver, a Sankat mochak of sorts. Be it the Centre or the state,  he has helped in uncorking bottlenecks. He has been one who has carried forward the efficient Legacy of the former Prime Minister and local MP Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Elaborating further Namrata Pathak, wife of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that if there is somebody who has converted the city of Nawabs into the number one City it is only and only Rajnath Singh. It is because of hard work that today Lucknow has good roads, bridges and people love him for his accessibility.

Meanwhile Aparna Yadav said that it is not just a city of Nawabs, it is also a city of Laxman. Right from the Brahmos missile to the fore vision of Rajnath Singh, roads, bridges and good education people,  people look up to Lucknow in a different light.
