Amity University Lucknow Hosts Sports Matches of SANSAD KHEL MAHAKUMBH 2025

Lucknow – Amity University Lucknow Campus successfully hosted Athletics and Football (Junior & Senior Level) matches  as part of the SANSAD KHEL MAHAKUMBH 2025, organized by the Uttar Pradesh Government. More than 20 schools and colleges from across the city participated in this sporting event.

The SANSAD KHEL MAHAKUMBH aims to provide sportspersons with a strong platform and inspire the youth to take up sports not just as a hobby, but also as a career. Students from schools and colleges falling under the eight zones of the Municipal Corporation participated. The winning teams and individuals from each zone will compete in the upcoming district-level MP Sports Competition.

The event at Amity University Lucknow was inaugurated by Additional City Magistrate Falguni Singh. Other dignitaries present included Sanjay Yadav, Sports Development Officer (Nagar Nigam Zone 4); Arvind Kushwaha, Sports Officer (Gomti Nagar); Rohit Mishra, Director (Projects); Dr. Rajeev Varma, Deputy Director (Academic Affairs); Kuldeep Singh, Sports Officer (Amity University); and Nikhil Kumar.

The event featured competitions in 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m races, shot put, javelin throw, long jump, relay races, and football for both boys and girls across junior and senior categories.

More than 20 educational institutions participated, including Amity University Lucknow, GGIC Gomti Nagar, Seth M.R. Jaipuria School (Gomti Nagar), Police Modern School (Vineet Khand), Scholars Home, City ITC, Nova College (Gomti Nagar), Red Rose School (Vinay Khand), and Modern Academy School (Viram Khand).

The junior boys’ football match was won by Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, while the senior boys’ match was clinched by the team from Amity University Lucknow. In the girls’ junior shot put, Kajal from GGIC, Gomti Nagar emerged victorious, while Shashwat Shukla of Scholars Home, Gomti Nagar secured the win in the senior boys’ category. The junior boys’ javelin throw was won by Shivaji Samrat from Scholars Home, and Soni Rawat of GGIC, Gomti Nagar took the top spot in the girls’ junior category. In long jump, Karishma from GGIC won in the junior girls’ category, and Shivaji Samrat once again triumphed in the junior boys’ category. The relay race (100 meters) saw the boys’ junior category won by Police Modern School, while GGIC, Gomti Nagar claimed the win in the girls’ junior category.

The boys’ senior 100-meter relay was won by the team from Amity University Lucknow.

In the 100-meter race, Sumit Kumar from Police Modern School won in the junior boys’ category, while Yashasvi Singh from Modern Academy secured the win in the junior girls’ category. In the senior category, the boys’ race was won by Parv Jain from Amity University, and the girls’ race was won by August Mishra, also from Amity University.
In the 200-meter race, Ananya Singh from GGIC clinched victory in the junior girls’ category, and Shalini Yadav from Nova College took the top position in the senior girls’ category.

Among the boys, Yash Kumar from Red Rose School won in the junior category, while Sanhit Singh from Police Modern School secured the senior category title.

In the 400-meter race, Soni Rawat from GGIC won the junior girls’ race, and Pragya Singh from Amity University took the win in the senior girls’ race. In the boys’ category, Yash Yadav from RBN School triumphed in the junior race, while Arpit Yadav from City ITC emerged as the winner in the senior category.

In the 800-meter race, Arpita from GGIC secured the win in the junior girls’ category, and Pragya Singh from Amity University once again clinched victory in the senior girls’ category. In the boys’ segment, Vikas from Police Modern School won in the junior category, while Abhinandan from Amity University emerged victorious in the senior category.
