Lucknow: The week-long ‘Innovation Week-2026’, organised at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus since September 21, concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony on Monday. Organised to mark the birthday of Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chairman, Amity University Lucknow Campus, the week celebrated creativity, innovation and new ideas under the theme ‘Innovate. Integrate. Impact.’
The week featured a series of academic and creative activities, including seminars, conferences, competitions and other events aimed at encouraging innovation, creative thinking and entrepreneurship among students.
The closing ceremony was attended by Professor (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus; Retd. Wing Commander Dr. Anil Tiwari, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Rajesh Tiwari, Dean Academics; Dr. Rajeev Verma, Dean Students’ Welfare; Heads of various institutions and departments, faculty members and a large number of students.
Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chairman, Amity University Lucknow Campus, joined the ceremony online.
Addressing the students, Dr. Aseem Chauhan said that September 28 is observed as Innovation Day in accordance with the vision of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity University Group. He said innovation is not something that can be achieved in a year or two, but often requires decades of preparation, dedication and hard work. He added that Amity University is preparing its students for innovation and startups so that they can come forward with ideas and innovations that make the country proud.
Professor (Dr.) Anil Vashisht extended his greetings to Dr. Aseem Chauhan on Innovation Day and briefed him about the various programmes organised at the Lucknow Campus during Innovation Week.
The closing ceremony also featured colourful cultural performances by Amity students. Amity Law School presented ‘Shaktirupa’, a performance highlighting women empowerment, while the Amity Institute of Biotechnology presented ‘Rajdarbar’, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. Artists from the cultural club ‘Amibeats’ enthralled the audience with a Lavani fusion dance performance, while performances based on classical dance forms also added to the cultural extravaganza. The Innovation Week-2026 celebrations concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony.
