Ahilyabai Holkar’s Life Remains an Eternal Inspiration of Public Service, Justice and Cultural Preservation: Keshav Prasad Maurya

Ghaziabad/Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the life and legacy of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar continue to inspire generations through her commitment to public welfare, justice, good governance and the preservation of Indian culture.

Addressing a function in Ghaziabad as the chief guest on the occasion of the 301st birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, Maurya laid the foundation stone for the Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar Memorial Gate to be constructed near the Loni Border Bus Depot under the MLA Local Area Development Fund. He also participated in a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted Ahilyabai Holkar’s contributions to society, describing her as a visionary ruler whose governance was marked by justice, compassion and dedication to public welfare. He said she left an indelible mark on Indian history through her efforts to protect and restore religious and cultural sites while making public service the guiding principle of her life.

Maurya noted that Ahilyabai Holkar played a significant role in the preservation and reconstruction of numerous places of worship across the country, contributing immensely to the protection of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that for many years, the contributions of Ahilyabai Holkar did not receive the recognition they deserved. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, efforts have been made to bring the achievements of great national figures and historical personalities to the forefront. He said that the celebrations marking her 300th birth anniversary were organized across the country with great respect and pride.

“Today, the entire nation is paying tribute to Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar,” Maurya said, adding that the Prime Minister’s vision has helped promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural traditions and the contributions of distinguished historical figures.

He described Ahilyabai Holkar’s life as a guiding light for future generations and said governments must continue working towards the welfare and development of the last person in society by following the ideals she embodied.

Maurya also appreciated the efforts of local representatives and party workers present at the programme. He praised MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar for his commitment to public service and regional development.

Among those present at the event were Member of Parliament Atul Garg, MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar, BJP District President Chainpal Singh, BJP Metropolitan President Mayank Goyal, Block Pramukh Komal Gurjar, councillors, BDC members, public representatives and a large number of local residents.

The programme concluded with tributes to Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar and a renewed commitment to promoting her ideals of service, justice and cultural preservation.
