After Long Legal Battle, SP Councillor Lalit Kishore Tiwari Takes Oath; Meets Akhilesh Yadav at Party Headquarters

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party councillor Lalit Kishore Tiwari of Faizullaganj Ward-73, Lucknow North Assembly constituency, was formally declared victorious after a prolonged legal battle. Following his oath-taking ceremony, he visited the Samajwadi Party state headquarters and met party national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, seeking his blessings.

On this occasion, former Cabinet Minister Rajendra Chaudhary and State President of the Samajwadi Party Shyam Lal Pal were also present.

Akhilesh Yadav Congratulates Tiwari

Extending congratulations, Akhilesh Yadav described Tiwari’s victory as a “win of justice,” noting that the legal process had finally affirmed the mandate. He also encouraged the newly elected councillor to dedicate himself to public service and work towards strengthening the party’s prospects for the 2027 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Lalit Kishore Tiwari expressed gratitude to the Samajwadi Party leadership for its support during his electoral and legal struggle. He reaffirmed his commitment to working for the party’s return to power in 2027 under Akhilesh Yadav’s leadership.

Delegation Meets Party Leadership

Along with Tiwari, a delegation from the Lucknow Municipal Corporation also met Akhilesh Yadav. The delegation included Leader of the Councillor Group Kamran Beg, North Assembly in-charge Pooja Shukla, and councillors Nadeem Khan and Gulshan Abbas.

The meeting was attended by several senior party workers, advocates, and supporters, including Devi Baksh Singh (Advocate), Dr. Hamza Bilal, Shailendra Verma, Sudhir Maurya, Ramesh Bhai, and advocates Karunesh Tiwari, Satya Narayan, Satendra Singh, Alok Yadav, Satya Narayan Yadav, Ram Sufal, Sanjay Patel, Siraj Ahmed, Dilip Pathak, Pratyush Tiwari, Himanshu Shukla, Raman Verma, Arvind Pathak, Aanchal Tiwari, Abhishek Tiwari, Gyanendra Shukla, Amit Shukla, Shobhit Awasthi, and Manas Tiwari, among others.

The gathering highlighted strong party unity and renewed enthusiasm within the Samajwadi Party ranks following the court-affirmed victory.
