Tel Aviv: There is a continuous war going on between Israel and Hamas. During this, many people have also died. Israel’s National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi said that Jerusalem will soon implement a plan to replace the Hamas regime in northern Gaza.
Hamas’ military ability to rule is collapsing – Hanegbi
At the Reichman University’s annual Herzliya conference, Hanegbi said that the collapse of Hamas’ military ability to rule will open up opportunities for countries that want to see a governance system with local leadership as an alternative to Hamas in Gaza, to join the process.
He said that Gaza’s new leadership will include Israel’s Abraham Accords partners, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations, while the Israeli army will continue to work to end Hamas’ presence.
He added, “The idea is, and this is what the Americans agree on, including in the talks this week and the talks being held right now [in Washington] by Defense Secretary [Yoav Galant], that there will be so-called top-to-bottom leadership, not just bottom-up.”
You cannot make Hamas disappear completely, because it is an idea, a concept, Hanegbi said.

Israeli army carried out air strikes in Gaza city
The Israeli army carried out three separate air strikes on Gaza city early Tuesday. Gaza health officials and doctors said at least 24 Palestinians were killed in the attack.
The dead also included the sister of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the militant Islamic group Hamas. Local residents said Israeli tanks entered the western areas of Rafah, south of the enclave, at night and blew up several houses. Doctors said Israeli forces also attacked two schools in Gaza City, killing at least 14 people.
