Dubai: Uttar Pradesh’s cultural heritage and development vision took centre stage at ‘Deep Utsav 2026’, organised by the Uttar Pradesh Council of the Indian People’s Forum (IPF) at Taj Business Bay in Dubai on October 25.
Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh attended the event as the chief guest, while Anupshahr MLA Sanjay Sharma was the guest of honour. Both legislators were conferred the ‘Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman’ in recognition of their contributions to the state’s development and public service. The awards were presented by IPF National General Secretary Rajiv Ranjan.
Addressing the gathering, Dhirendra Singh read out a message from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and invited overseas Indians and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in the state.
He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh was emerging as a major destination for industrial investment, supported by improved law and order and modern infrastructure.
Highlighting the Noida International Airport being developed in Jewar, Singh described the project as a symbol of the state’s transformation and growing economic potential. He urged entrepreneurs and members of the Uttar Pradesh diaspora in Dubai and other parts of the world to invest in their home state and contribute to building a developed Uttar Pradesh.
Expressing pride in the Indian diaspora’s attachment to its roots, he said overseas Indians continued to serve as ambassadors of India’s and Uttar Pradesh’s culture and traditions.
Singh also thanked the IPF Uttar Pradesh Council for organising the celebration, observing that the experience, entrepreneurial capabilities and investments of overseas Indians could play an important role in strengthening the state’s economy.
The event was attended by IPF Uttar Pradesh Council members Mahesh Singh, B.S. Chauhan, Sudhir Tripathi, Nidhi Sharma and Richa Gautam, along with a large gathering of overseas Indians, business leaders and distinguished guests. Cultural performances showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s folk traditions added to the festive atmosphere.
