Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission Vice-Chairperson Aparna Yadav encouraged talented students at the 13th India Genius Awards Ceremony 2026, stressing that recognising young talent and providing children with opportunities and due recognition helps build their confidence and lays a stronger foundation for the country’s future.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Aparna Yadav with the traditional lighting of the lamp at the auditorium of Holy Public School in Lucknow. More than 800 students from different districts of Uttar Pradesh participated in the event, while over 100 principals, teachers and distinguished personalities associated with the education sector were honoured for their outstanding contributions.
Special guests Harish Chandra Srivastava, Lieutenant Colonel Vivek Gupta and Rahul Sen Saxena also encouraged the participating students.
Arnav and Aadya Receive ‘India Genius’ Honour
At the ceremony, Arnav Sharma of BLS International School, Hathras, and Aadya Saha of Suditi Global Academy, Mainpuri, were conferred the prestigious ‘India Genius’ title.
Aadya, a Class 3 student, created a special record by becoming the youngest ‘India Genius’ in the 13-year history of the awards.
As part of the awards, 25 top-performing students received bicycles, while 12 students were presented with tablets. Other winning students were honoured with gold, silver and bronze medals along with certificates.
Principals, teachers, school managers and coordinators who made notable contributions to education were also recognised with various awards at the national, state and district levels. Jatinder Walia, Managing Director of Avadh Collegiate, Lucknow, received the National Excellence in School Administration Award 2026.
Aparna Yadav Praises Platform for Young Talent
Aparna Yadav appreciated the India Genius Awards for providing a platform to talented students continuously for the past 13 years. She said such programmes encourage children to identify their abilities, gain confidence and strive for better performance.
Amit Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer of India Genius Award Olympiad 2026, said the organisation’s objective was to identify students’ talent, enhance their confidence and provide them with opportunities to progress.
He said that over the organisation’s 13-year journey, thousands of students had received opportunities to showcase their abilities and earn recognition.
The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, school representatives and members of the education community, creating an encouraging environment for young achievers.
