Uttar Pradesh Players Shine at 15th National Vovinam Martial Arts Championship, Win 24 Medals

Jammu: Uttar Pradesh players delivered an impressive performance on the third day of the 15th National Vovinam Martial Arts Championship 2026, being held at the Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Stadium in Jammu, winning a total of 24 medals, including 10 gold, seven silver and seven bronze.

According to state general secretary Praveen Garg, Uttar Pradesh athletes excelled in both the Fighting and Performance categories, showcasing their skill, discipline and competitive spirit at the national-level championship.

Gold Medal Winners

Joti won gold in the Female Single Performance (Long Ho Quyen) and the Senior Under-48 kg category. Mohammad Hannan secured gold in the Sub-Junior Boys’ Fighting Under-35 kg category, while Nikhil Rawat won the Junior Fighting Under-44 kg title.

Lucky Singh Gautam claimed gold in the Under-17 Boys’ Fighting Under-58 kg category, while Anushka Maurya topped the Women’s Fighting Under-65 kg category. Rumana Suhail won gold in the Senior Women’s Fighting Under-70 kg category.

Prince Maurya, Lucky Singh Gautam, Divanshu Kashyap and Nikhil jointly won gold in the Junior Four Male Leg Attack Techniques category.

Sunny secured gold in the Senior Male Single Performance (Thap Tha Quyen) category. Abhishek Pal won gold in the Under-14 Male Single Performance (Ngu Mon Quyen), while Tushar emerged victorious in the Under-17 Male Single Performance (Ngu Mon Quyen) category.

Silver Medal Winners

Anandita Pandey won silver in the Junior Female Single Performance (Long Ho Quyen), while Khushi Chaurasia secured silver in the Senior Female Single Performance (Long Ho Quyen).

Aryan Yadav won silver in the Junior Fighting Over-56 kg category, and Tushar secured silver in Junior Fighting Under-58 kg. Anandita Pandey also won silver in Junior Fighting Under-60 kg, while Tania Suhail secured silver in Junior Fighting Under-64 kg.

Shaurya Gautam won silver in the Junior Male Single Performance (Thap Tha Quyen) category.

Bronze Medal Winners

The bronze medal winners from Uttar Pradesh were Dipanshi Jaiswal, Mohammad Ali Khan, Aviral Dutt, Shaurya Gautam, Arpan, Abhishek Pal and Prince Maurya.

Congratulating the medal-winning athletes, coaches and officials of the Uttar Pradesh team, Vovinam Association Uttar Pradesh president and MLA OP Srivastava praised the players for their hard work and discipline.

Srivastava said the athletes had brought honour to Uttar Pradesh through their outstanding performance at the national championship. He added that Vovinam is growing rapidly across Uttar Pradesh and expressed confidence that players from the state would go on to represent India at international-level competitions in the future.

The performance at the Jammu championship has further highlighted the growing talent and competitive strength of Uttar Pradesh in Vovinam martial arts.
