Bareilly: The Department of B.Ed./M.Ed. (IASE) at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, will organise a 10-day Research Methodology Course from September 8 to 17, 2026. The programme is sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The course, titled “Research Methodology and Skill Development in Social Sciences: Aligning with NEP 2020,” aims to strengthen researchers’ understanding of research methodology while promoting the effective and ethical use of modern research skills, digital tools and artificial intelligence-based research techniques.
The programme will cover a wide range of topics, including formulation of research problems and hypotheses, qualitative and quantitative research methods, literature review, development and validation of research tools, sampling techniques, statistical analysis, the Indian Knowledge Tradition, research ethics, academic writing and AI-assisted research.
Eminent resource persons and subject experts from reputed central and state universities across the country will guide participants through lectures, interactive sessions and practical activities.
Course Director Dr Meenakshi Dwivedi said the programme is designed in accordance with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and will promote multidisciplinary, ethical and technology-enabled research. She said the course would help strengthen the research capabilities of participants and enable them to adopt contemporary approaches in their academic work.
Course Co-Director Dr Rambabu Singh said the programme places special emphasis on practical training and participatory activities alongside theoretical understanding. This approach, he said, will enable participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course effectively in their own research work.
The 10-day course will be inaugurated on September 8, 2026, at the Department of B.Ed./M.Ed. (IASE) on the university campus.
