Lucknow: State Bank of India (SBI) has categorically denied media reports suggesting that salaries of employees of the Shree Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust were withheld due to a dispute between the bank and the Trust.
In an official press release issued by the State Bank of India, Local Head Office, Lucknow, the bank clarified that there is no dispute whatsoever between SBI and the Shree Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
Addressing the reports, SBI stated that all transactions in the Trust’s accounts are being carried out in accordance with the mandate provided by the Trust. The bank emphasised that there has been no restriction or interruption in the operation of the Trust’s accounts.

The clarification was issued by Dipesh Raj, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, on July 25, 2026, with the aim of dispelling misinformation circulating in sections of the media regarding the alleged non-payment of salaries.
SBI reiterated that banking operations relating to the Trust continue as per the authorised mandate and urged that speculative reports suggesting any disagreement between the bank and the Trust are unfounded.
