Lucknow: Inspired by the visionary appeal of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, a Mega Tree Plantation Drive was successfully organized today, Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM, under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign. The event was held at Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Park (opposite Ram Bhavan), Viram Khand-5, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, and was organized by the Jan Kalyan Samiti, Viram Khand-5.
Office bearers of the committee and respected residents of the locality enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings and reaffirming their commitment to environmental conservation and a greener future. On the occasion, the speakers emphasized that every sapling represents not just a tree, but a pledge to provide clean air, greenery, and a safe environment for future generations.
Prominent participants included Dr. Bharat Raj Singh (President & Sr. Environmentalist), Colonel Pandey (General Secretary, Maha Samiti), Sanjay Nigam (Secretary, Maha Samiti), C. G. Nair (Secretary, Maha Samiti), K. K. Maurya (Cultural Secretary, Maha Samiti), Vijay Chopra (Vice President, Viram-5), Arun Trivedi (Cultural Secretary, Viram-5), Advocate Nityanand Pandey (Secretary), Praveen Mishra (Joint Secretary), Atul Johri (Treasurer), Dr. R. P.
