Prime Video Unveils Trailer for Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, Premiering Worldwide on July 24

Mumbai: Prime Video has released the official trailer of its upcoming Hindi Original series Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, a heartwarming comedy-drama that blends humour, nostalgia and everyday school-life chaos. The seven-episode series is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 24, streaming in Hindi with English subtitles across India and more than 240 countries and territories.

Directed by Himank Gaur and created and executive produced by Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena under the banner of Posham Pa Pictures, the series is written by Biswapati Sarkar, Akshay Asthana, Nupur Pai, Tatsat Pandey and Meghna Srivastava.

Headlined by Kay Kay Menon, the ensemble cast also features Archana Puran Singh, Abhimanyu Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Prasanna Bisht, Deven Bhojani, Ajitesh Gupta, Annapurna Soni, and Prachee Shah in pivotal roles.

The trailer introduces viewers to Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, a school where little seems to function according to plan. At the centre of the story is Gyaneshwar Tripathi, a relaxed yet resourceful headmaster played by Kay Kay Menon, whose unconventional leadership keeps the institution running despite its endless challenges. The stakes rise when he discovers that the principals of Delhi’s top-performing schools will be selected for a prestigious government-sponsored training programme in Cambridge.

As Gyaneshwar attempts to transform one of the city’s most underperforming schools, he must navigate eccentric teachers, spirited students, demanding parents and a series of unpredictable situations. The trailer promises a blend of heartfelt moments, quirky humour and inspiring optimism, raising the question of whether determination can overcome dysfunction.

Speaking about the series, director Himank Gaur said the story draws heavily from the memories everyone carries from their school days—friendships, mischief, unforgettable teachers and the small moments that leave a lasting impression. He credited the cast, particularly Kay Kay Menon, Archana Puran Singh and the young actors, for bringing authenticity and energy to the narrative, while also praising Prime Video for supporting the creative vision behind the project.

Kay Kay Menon said portraying a school headmaster was a refreshing departure from the intense roles he has played in recent years. He described Gyaneshwar Tripathi as an imperfect yet intelligent and deeply relatable character whose humanity made the role especially rewarding. Menon added that the series offers audiences a different side of his acting journey and reflects Prime Video’s willingness to back distinctive stories and characters.

Archana Puran Singh, who plays the outspoken and ambitious Urmila Devi, said the show’s sharp writing and emotionally grounded storytelling attracted her to the project. She described her character as bold, fearless and unapologetically authentic, adding that sharing screen space with Kay Kay Menon made the experience even more enjoyable. She also expressed excitement about her first collaboration with Prime Video and looked forward to audiences discovering the vibrant world of Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya.

With its mix of comedy, warmth and relatable characters, Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya aims to capture the spirit of school life while celebrating resilience, teamwork and the power of hope. The series premieres exclusively on Prime Video on July 24.
