Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Google Gemini for the upcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), bringing artificial intelligence into one of India’s longest-running knowledge-based television shows.
The partnership will integrate Google Gemini into the KBC experience across Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV, where it will serve as a digital knowledge companion for viewers throughout the season.
According to SPNI, the AI-powered platform will assist audiences from the registration stage to general knowledge preparation, offering guidance and interactive support designed to help aspiring contestants navigate the journey to the iconic hot seat.
A newly released promotional video features host Amitabh Bachchan introducing the collaboration and highlighting how advances in artificial intelligence are becoming part of the show’s evolving format. In the promo, Bachchan explains that Google Gemini will support participants at every stage—from understanding the registration process to preparing for the quiz-based competition.
The collaboration also extends beyond television. Through the Google Gemini app, users will be able to access information about KBC registrations, eligibility criteria and participation guidelines. Google India also plans to introduce interactive knowledge-based challenges that will allow users to test and improve their general knowledge across a wide range of subjects.
For more than two decades, Kaun Banega Crorepati has remained one of India’s most popular quiz shows, encouraging learning and making knowledge accessible to audiences across generations. The latest collaboration aims to combine that legacy with AI-powered tools to create a more interactive and engaging experience for viewers.
KBC registrations for the new season are now open, with further details available through Google Gemini. The upcoming season will air on Sony Entertainment Television and stream on Sony LIV.
