Lucknow: For Acharya Prerna, astrology is not merely about predicting the future—it is about helping individuals understand themselves, align with universal energies, and unlock their inner potential. With years of experience in the field of Vedic Astrology, she has expanded her work beyond traditional astrological consultations to include Pran Urja, a breath-based wellness practice that she believes can transform lives through the conscious use of life-force energy.
An M.Sc. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Vedic Astrology, Acharya Prerna represents a rare blend of scientific discipline and spiritual knowledge. While astrology remains at the core of her practice, she is increasingly focused on spreading awareness about the role of breath in physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
According to her, Pran Urja is a technique designed to improve oxygen flow in the body and balance vital energies through deep breathing practices. She explains that these exercises help harmonize the five fundamental elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—which in turn influence the seven chakras associated with different aspects of human life. “The planets may guide us, but it is our faith, actions, and determination that ultimately shape our destiny,” she says.
Acharya Prerna believes that conscious breathing can significantly enhance overall wellness. She points to examples from around the world, including regions in Japan known for the longevity of their residents, where disciplined lifestyles and breath awareness are often associated with healthy aging. Through Pran Urja, she seeks to encourage people to adopt simple daily practices that promote vitality, resilience, and inner balance.
Her approach combines ancient wisdom with practical application. Participants are encouraged to dedicate one hour daily to guided breathing and energy-balancing exercises. The sessions, she says, are offered free of cost and emphasize commitment, consistency, and self-discipline.
Alongside her wellness initiatives, Acharya Prerna remains deeply committed to traditional astrology. She is a strong advocate of handcrafted kundalis, prepared manually after detailed analysis. The process, which can take nearly two and a half hours, draws upon years of study and experience. In her view, a carefully prepared horoscope provides a comprehensive framework for understanding a person’s past, present, and future possibilities.

She also stresses that becoming a competent astrologer requires years of learning and practice. “No one can become an astrology expert in just a few months,” she notes. Among the systems she considers most significant are Prashna Kundli and Kaal Purush Kundli, both of which continue to guide her consultations.
Looking ahead, Acharya Prerna is focused on expanding her outreach. Having steadily built a community of followers, she now aims to connect with more people across Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh through live interactions, educational sessions, and community events. Every three months, she plans to spend several days in different cities, meeting individuals personally and helping them address life’s challenges through guidance and consultation. Video consultations are also being planned to reach a wider audience.
One of her most ambitious initiatives is a free 30-Day Wellness and Self-Transformation Challenge centered on the science of breathing. Organized by the Prana Yoga Family, the program seeks to help participants understand the relationship between breath, health, confidence, energy, success, and spiritual growth. Through online sessions accessible from anywhere, participants will learn practical techniques aimed at improving focus, managing stress, and cultivating self-awareness.
Summing up her mission, Acharya Prerna offers a simple yet powerful message: “Life has a plan for everyone. We are here to help reveal it.” With the motto “Change Your Breath, Change Your Life,” she hopes to inspire people to discover the transformative potential that lies within every breath.
