RLD Trade Cell Holds Key Meeting in Meerut, Announces New Organisational Appointments

Lucknow/Meerut: A significant organisational meeting of the trade cell of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) was held at the Chamber of Commerce in Hanuman Chowk, Abu Lane, Meerut, focusing on traders’ concerns and strengthening the party’s outreach among the business community.

The meeting was chaired by district president Aniket Bhardwaj and attended by senior party leaders, including national general secretary (organisation) Trilok Tyagi as the chief guest, and state president of the trade cell Rohit Agrawal as the special guest.

Focus on Traders’ Issues

The discussions centred on key challenges faced by traders, particularly the complexities of GST and the growing impact of online commerce on local markets. Addressing the gathering, Trilok Tyagi elaborated on the need to safeguard traders’ interests and strengthen policy advocacy.

Other leaders, including national secretary Prabhuddh Kumar, in-charge for Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir Vinay Pradhan, state minister Narendra Khajuri, and Matloob Gaur, also shared their perspectives on issues affecting the trading community. Rohit Agrawal urged workers to expand the organisation and ensure that traders’ voices are effectively represented.

Key Appointments Announced

A major highlight of the meeting was the announcement of new organisational appointments within the trade cell. Rohit Agrawal appointed Abhi Singhal as the district president (trade cell) for Meerut, Deepak Agrawal as state secretary, and Sandeep Gupta as the metropolitan president.

Senior leaders, including Narendra Khajuri and Vinay Pradhan, congratulated the newly appointed office-bearers and expressed confidence that they would strengthen the organisation and take it to new heights.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to address traders’ concerns and expand the party’s presence among the business community in Uttar Pradesh.
