National Safe Motherhood Day Celebration captivates all

Lucknow: A program marking National Safe Motherhood Day was successfully organized at Virangna Awantibai Mahila Hospital. The event was conducted by the GNM 3rd Year students of Vivekananda Polyclinic School of Nursing, Lucknow, with the objective of promoting awareness about safe motherhood and maternal health.

The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to hospital staff, patients, and attendees. The students highlighted the significance of safe pregnancy, institutional delivery, antenatal and postnatal care, as well as the importance of proper nutrition and hygiene during pregnancy. Key topics such as early registration of pregnancy, regular health check-ups, identification of danger signs, and the importance of immunization were explained in a simple and accessible manner.

Health education sessions were conducted using charts, posters, and interactive discussions to effectively engage the audience. Special emphasis was placed on reducing maternal and neonatal mortality through increased awareness and timely medical intervention. Mothers present at the hospital were encouraged to adopt healthy practices and seek regular medical care.

The hospital staff appreciated the efforts of the nursing students for their informative and impactful presentation. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the hospital authorities and participants for their cooperation and support.

The event proved to be a meaningful initiative in spreading awareness about safe motherhood and reinforcing the importance of maternal health within the community.
