Bareilly DM Chairs Meeting on Census Preparations, Issues Key Directives

Bareilly: A review meeting on census preparations was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Avinash Singh at the Collectorate auditorium, focusing on timely deployment and training of personnel for the upcoming exercise.

Focus on Timely Appointments and Planning

During the meeting, the District Magistrate reviewed tehsil-wise and urban local body-wise determination of HCB (Household Census Blocks) and directed officials to complete the appointment of enumerators and supervisors by the following evening. He also instructed that 10 percent additional personnel be kept in reserve to handle contingencies.

He further directed that headmasters, gram panchayat officers, and village secretaries be appointed as supervisors, while panchayat assistants should be assigned duties within their respective gram panchayat areas to ensure efficiency and familiarity with local conditions.

Training Schedule Finalized

Providing details of the preparation, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) informed that duty-related notifications will be sent to personnel via mobile messages. Training sessions will be conducted at the tehsil level, with each appointed worker undergoing a three-day training program.

The training of enumerators and supervisors across the district is scheduled to commence from April 16. Officials noted that the training is essential not only for operational readiness but also for eligibility for honorarium.

The District Magistrate emphasized the importance of meticulous planning and coordination to ensure the smooth and accurate conduct of the census process. Officials were instructed to adhere strictly to timelines and maintain effective communication at all levels.
