Lucknow: During his visit to Mau, Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma officially inaugurated the newly constructed Hanuman Setu (Pipa Bridge) over the Tamsa River, marking a significant milestone in regional infrastructure development. The event saw the participation of local representatives, officials, and thousands of residents, adding grandeur to the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Sharma congratulated the local community and described the Pipa Bridge as more than a temporary structure, calling it a strong beginning toward comprehensive development in the area. He confirmed that the state government plans to construct a permanent, robust bridge soon, which will further enhance accessibility and convenience for residents in the coming years.
The minister highlighted that over 30,000 people would directly benefit from the bridge, especially residents of remote and rural areas. Easier connectivity is expected to accelerate access to education, healthcare, and commercial activities, improving overall quality of life.

Minister Sharma emphasized that the government’s development focus extends beyond major cities to the most remote communities, ensuring basic amenities such as drinking water, street lighting, and essential infrastructure. He noted that the newly installed modern streetlights received personal appreciation from the Chief Minister, reflecting transparency and quality in departmental work.
Local residents warmly welcomed Minister Sharma and expressed gratitude, acknowledging that his efforts have ushered in a new wave of development in the region.
