Bareilly – The three-day technical fest ‘AURA 2026’ concluded on a high note at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, with the final day witnessing a vibrant mix of technical, creative, and knowledge-driven activities at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET).
The concluding day of the festival was held under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor K P Singh and the leadership of Dean FET Archana Gupta, bringing together students from various disciplines who participated enthusiastically across multiple competitions and workshops.
A major highlight of the day was the ‘Food Without Fire’ culinary competition, where 13 teams showcased innovative and creative cooking skills without using heat. The team of Ishita Chandra and Manvi Sharma secured first place, followed by Atharva and Lavi Singh in second, while Swati and Sindoorpa claimed third position. The event was conducted under the direction of Engineer Afreen Nishat, with Dr. Sachin Verma and Dr. Ekta Saxena serving as judges.
The Sudoku competition tested participants’ logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with Shakti Dev Gupta emerging as the winner. The event was coordinated by Ashish Shankhwar, Dr. Rohit Kumar Verma, and Akhilesh Kumar.
Adding a strong technical dimension to the closing day, a three-hour workshop titled ‘AstroQuest: Rooftop Solar – From Sunlight to Sustainable Power’ provided participants with in-depth insights into the design, concept, and practical applications of rooftop solar energy systems. The session was led by Engineer Abhay Kumar Gangwar and coordinated by Dr. Deepak Gangwar.
The Tech Pictionary competition saw participation from 23 students, with the team of Arpita Kashyap, Ananya Gupta, Kauser Fatima, and Bushra Tayyab securing first place. The second position went to Charu Patel, Garima Saxena, Supriya Singh, and Aanchal Singh. The competition was judged by Prof. Vinay Rishiwal, Dr. Pooja Yadav, and Shivangi Srivastava.

E-sports competitions also drew significant interest, with 77 participants from various institutions competing. Kamesh and his team from MJPRU secured first place, followed by Atulansh and his team from Bareilly College in second, while Kushansh Gupta and his team finished third.
In the ‘Reel in 60 Seconds’ competition, Arpit Kumar and Mohammad Arshad won first place, while Smita Prajapati and Rishabh Vishwakarma secured second. The ‘Six Word Story’ competition highlighted creativity in brevity, with Hamza Qureshi from Indian Institute of Technology Madras winning first place. Lavi Singh from the Psychology Department of MJPRU stood second, and Ishika from FET secured third position.
The event was attended by several senior faculty members and dignitaries, including Dean Academic Prof. S. K. Pandey, Chief Proctor Prof. Ravindra Singh, Prof. Nivedita Srivastava, Prof. S. S. Bedi, Prof. Anita Tyagi, Prof. Yatendra Kumar, Dr. Iram Naeem, Dr. Chhavi Sharma, Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, Dr. Preeti Yadav, Dr. Anil Kumar Bisht, and many others, who appreciated the efforts of students and organizers.
The festival concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended to all guests, organizers, coordinators, judges, participants, and contributors whose collective efforts ensured the grand success of AURA 2026. The event once again underscored the university’s commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and holistic development among students.
