Lucknow: A major fire broke out in a residential building near Bhole Bhawan, Parth Republic on Kanpur Road in the early hours of Thursday, prompting a swift rescue operation by police and fire services.
According to officials, information about the fire was received around 4:00 AM through PRV 6506. Acting promptly, the Sarojini Nagar Police Station in-charge, along with the police team, rushed to the spot and alerted the fire brigade.
A coordinated rescue operation was immediately launched by the police and fire personnel. At the time of the incident, six family members and a pet dog were inside the house. The occupants were identified as Shashi Verma alias Ajay Rastogi (48), Anita Verma (48), Sheetal Verma (24), Vinayak (16), Veronica Verma (6), and Tanu Verma (24).
Thanks to the quick and efficient response of the teams, all residents and the pet dog were safely evacuated. During the incident, Tanu Verma sustained a minor leg injury and was taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Sarojini Nagar by ambulance. After receiving treatment, she was discharged and safely returned home.

The fire brigade managed to bring the blaze under complete control, preventing any major damage or casualties. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
The timely and coordinated efforts of the police and fire department have been widely appreciated by local residents.
