Lucknow: The Chowk Police of the Lucknow Commissionerate have arrested a warranted accused in connection with a serious criminal case registered under multiple sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act.
The arrest was made in compliance with directives issued by Police Commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sengar to intensify action against criminals, ensure the arrest of wanted and absconding accused, and expedite the resolution of pending cases. The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior officers including DCP Kamlesh Dixit, ADCP Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha, and ACP Rajkumar Singh.
According to police officials, the accused, Lucky Raj alias Kaku (30), a resident of Gali Shahchhda under Chowk Police Station limits, was arrested from his residence on April 2, 2026. He was wanted in connection with a case registered under Sections 363, 366, 376D, 506, and 504 of the IPC, along with relevant provisions of the POCSO Act, as per a warrant issued by the ADJ POCSO Court (Court No. 03), Lucknow in Sessions Trial No. 119/2020 (Case No. 369/2019).

The arrest was carried out by a police team led by Inspector Nagesh Upadhyay, Station House Officer of Chowk Police Station, along with Sub-Inspector Rajendra Babu (Outpost In-charge, Gali Shahchhda) and Constable Ajay Kumar.
The accused has been produced before the court, and further legal proceedings are currently underway.
