Mumbai: The shooting of the Hindi film Dongri to Mumbara is currently underway in Mumbra, Thane, where the project has gained attention for both its subject matter and the cooperation it has received from the local police administration.
The film is directed by noted filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sayyed Sameer Hussain under the banner of S Sameer Film Production. The story focuses on drug abuse, organized crime, and the ongoing efforts to control narcotics at the ground level.
The first schedule was filmed at prominent locations in Mumbra, including the police station premises, MM Valley Road, areas near Kalsekar College, and the tunnel road, where a key encounter scene was shot.
The shooting formally began with Senior Police Inspector Anil Shinde and Admin PI Nitin Pagaar giving the ceremonial clap. Police officials, including Constable Deepak Gulab Wagh, Constable Rof Khan, and PSI Sunil Kamble, played a vital role in supporting the production team.

Producer Syed Sameer Hussain stated that due to strict police action over the last two years, drug-related activities in Mumbra have been significantly controlled. Inspector Anil Shinde reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to keeping drugs out of the area.
The makers have expressed gratitude to the police administration for their cooperation, which helped maintain realism and discipline during filming.
