Reacting to the state budget today, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that this budget paves the way for the state’s comprehensive and balanced development. He said that this budget has led to the state’s development and will continue to do so. The government’s goal is to connect all sections of society—villages, the poor, farmers, youth, women, and businessmen—with the mainstream of development.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the budget makes historic provisions for infrastructure, rural connectivity, education, health, irrigation, employment generation, and women’s empowerment. This budget is a strong step towards a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh. He clarified that the government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach the last person in line.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya held a cordial conversation with the girl students who had come to watch the proceedings of the Assembly today. During this, he encouraged them and inspired them to move forward in life and contribute to nation-building.

“Our daughters are the future of tomorrow. Only when they are educated and aware will the dream of a strong and self-reliant Uttar Pradesh be realized. — Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister

Taking aim at the opposition, he said, “The opposition’s only job is to criticize the government. If they seriously read the budget and understand its provisions, they would have to appreciate it.”

The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the MNREGA campaign has proven to be completely hollow. Prime Minister Shri Modi has worked to stop the loot taking place in MNREGA in the name of Mahatma Gandhi. Under previous governments, schemes remained limited to paper, whereas the current government is working with transparency and accountability. He said that the benefits of development schemes are now reaching the beneficiaries directly.

He said that empowering “G-Ram-G” (poor, youth, farmer) will ensure all-round development of villages and bring prosperity to the state. Villages are becoming self-reliant through rural roads, housing, drinking water, electricity supply, and self-employment schemes.
