Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has hailed the launch of India’s first hydrogen-powered train as a landmark achievement, describing it as a symbol of the country’s commitment to green technology, innovation and sustainable development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a statement issued, Maurya said India is steadily setting new benchmarks in modern technology, clean energy and sustainable infrastructure. He noted that the country’s first hydrogen train represents the transformative vision of a developed India and reflects the nation’s growing technological capabilities.
The Deputy Chief Minister said hydrogen-powered rail transport marks a significant step towards building a cleaner, greener and future-ready public transportation system. Besides showcasing India’s engineering and technological progress, he said the initiative reinforces the country’s commitment to environmental conservation, the adoption of clean energy and the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
