Lucknow: The ten-day Khadi Mahotsav-2025, organized under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Khadi & Village Industries Board at Central Sanskrit University, Gomti Nagar, concluded successfully today. The closing ceremony was graced by Anil Sagar, Principal Secretary of the Khadi & Village Industries Department, along with senior officials including CEO Shishir and Joint CEO Siddharth Yadav. Shishir welcomed the chief guest with bouquets and mementos.
In his address, Principal Secretary Anil Sagar highlighted the Yogi government’s commitment to promoting khadi, village industries, and traditional handicrafts. This year, a total of 160 entrepreneurs participated, including 32 khadi units, 120 village industry units, and 8 clay art units, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. He emphasized the government’s aim to blend traditional products with modernity, positioning them in national and global markets.

Village Industry Category: 1st – Abbas Ansari, Muzaffarnagar; 2nd – Tahzibul Hasan, Bijnor; 3rd – Mrs. Anjali Singh, Jute Artisans, Lucknow.

Clay Art Category: 1st – Prem Chandra, Barabanki; 2nd – Matloob, Bulandshahr; 3rd – Shiv Kumar Prajapati, Barabanki.
The final day, coinciding with Sunday, saw a large turnout of visitors, who enthusiastically purchased khadi textiles, village industry products, and clay art items, boosting the morale of participating entrepreneurs.
CEO Shishir expressed gratitude to all members of the organizing committee, technical collaborators, media representatives, volunteers, security personnel, and board staff, noting that their dedication and efficient management made the festival a resounding success.
The Khadi Mahotsav-2025 not only celebrated traditional skills but also reaffirmed the government’s push to integrate rural artisans and their products into modern markets, promoting economic growth and cultural preservation.
