Modern Technology for Faster Response
The newly inducted vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art communication systems, GPS tracking, high-quality safety gear, and real-time response technology, allowing for quicker deployment and more efficient handling of emergency calls. These enhancements are expected to reduce response times significantly across urban and rural areas.
At the flag-off ceremony, several senior officials were present, including Joint Police Commissioner Amit Kumar Verma, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikrant Veer, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dial-112) Rajesh Kumar Yadav, and City Police Commissioner Seema Pandey, among others.

Improved Response Times Leading to Crime Reduction
Currently, the average Dial-112 response time in urban areas is 5–8 minutes, while in rural areas it ranges from 8–10 minutes. The current overall average stands at 8 minutes 52 seconds, making it one of the fastest emergency response systems in Uttar Pradesh.
Authorities note that the rapid deployment of PRVs has contributed to a marked reduction in crime incidents across both urban and rural sectors. The combination of enhanced vehicles, modern technology, and dedicated personnel is expected to further strengthen public confidence and safety throughout the city.
With these upgrades, the Lucknow Police aim to set a benchmark for efficient and citizen-friendly emergency services, ensuring swift action in every critical situation.
