Lucknow — The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow has made it to the grand finale of SBI Life Insurance’s IdeationX 2.0, after an impressive performance in the semi-final round held at the Masters’ Union School of Business, Gurugram.
Out of 3,500+ entries received from leading B-schools across India, 40 shortlisted teams competed in the semi-finals. Following a rigorous multi-stage evaluation process, the top eight teams advanced to the grand finale. Representing IIM Lucknow, Aakash Bhanse, Chaitanya Gupta, and Prachi Damania successfully secured their place among the final eight contenders.
Other institutions that reached the final stage include Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (Delhi University), IIFT New Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, MDI Gurugram, Department of Management Studies – IIT Delhi, IIT-BHU, and Masters’ Union School of Business, Delhi.
The semi-final event witnessed the presence of senior SBI Life officials, including Mr. Ravindra Sharma, Chief – Brand, Corporate Communications & CSR, and Mr. Debasish Chatterjee, Zonal Director – North. They interacted with students, encouraging them to think innovatively and contribute ideas that can redefine the future of insurance in India.

The creativity and practicality demonstrated by students highlight the transformative power of today’s youth. He further added that with India’s insurance penetration still below 4%, scalable and innovative solutions are crucial to realizing the dream of ‘Insurance for All by 2047.’ The digital-first mindset and commitment displayed by the participants reaffirm SBI Life’s belief in building a financially secure and resilient India.
