Lucknow: The film Jagatguru Shri Ramakrishna, released on September 1 on Prasar Bharati’s WAVES OTT channel, has been receiving positive responses from viewers across India. Audiences have hailed it as not only inspiring for the nation but also as a guiding force for global welfare.
The film, featuring artists from Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), has been produced and written by Gajanand Pathak, who has portrayed the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda’s guru, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhans, with sincerity and devotion. Directed by Dr. Bimal Kumar Mishra, the movie skillfully captures the spiritual journey of the saint.
Amarkant Rai plays the role of young seeker Ramakrishna, while producer-writer Gajanand Pathak essays the role of Jagatguru Shri Ramakrishna. Shrestha Bhattacharya appears as Maa Sarada Devi, Mukesh Ram Prajapati as Swami Vivekananda, and Chandni Jha as Maa Kali. Other prominent roles are portrayed by Deepak Ghosh, Manoj Kumar Pandey, Seema Ghosh, and Ajit Arora.


The soulful music, composed by Ajay Mishra, features devotional songs sung by Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota, Suresh Wadkar, and Mahalaxmi Iyer. Cinematography is by Rahul Pathak.
