Lucknow— The ongoing verbal clash between Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and the Samajwadi Party (SP) escalated further on Monday as SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav took to social media to deliver a strongly worded message, filled with political undertones and subtle barbs.
In a post shared on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Akhilesh called for courage in the face of injustice and urged leaders — particularly those he described as being “used” within the BJP — to speak out against oppression, even if indirectly.
“If you don’t have the courage to speak out against injustice in society, at least say something through hints,” Yadav wrote.
Advocating for ‘PDA’ and Social Justice
Akhilesh emphasized unity among PDA — Pichhda (Backward), Dalit, and Alpashankhyak (Minority) communities, encouraging them to rally together for a positive brand of politics.
“People who sit idle only stir up conversations, but those who work move forward,” he wrote.
“Let’s pledge to form a government that truly stands for social justice.”
Subtle Jabs at BJP and Its “Outsider” Leaders
Without naming names, the SP leader took aim at BJP leaders and recent defectors who, he alleged, have little influence within the ruling party and hide their ministries’ failures behind flattery and empty rhetoric.
“Those who aren’t even heard in their own parties spend time covering up their ministry’s failures with sycophancy,” he stated.
“To such individuals, I appeal — play a meaningful role. If you represent a community, and if that community considers you its own, say something when it’s being wronged.”
Akhilesh further cautioned these leaders against adopting BJP’s language and methods in an attempt to fit in, warning that they are merely being used.

“You try to sound like BJP leaders, but in truth, you’re being used. If you think they will accept you, look at those born into the BJP who are now sidelined. If they’ve been cast aside, you too will be next.”
“This Is My Final Letter”
In a tone suggesting political finality and a call to action, Yadav ended his post with a pledge of support to those who feel alienated within the BJP and a commitment to the fight for the people.
“When the time of crisis comes, the Samajwadi Party will stand with you. That time is not far, because neither you nor your community matters to the current regime. For them, your people are not even second-class citizens.”
Calling on individuals to protect their morality and self-respect, Akhilesh concluded by saying:
“This is my last letter. Now, it’s time for us to enter the battlefield to fight for the people’s rights.”
Political Impact
Akhilesh Yadav’s post is the latest in a string of fiery exchanges between the SP and BJP in Uttar Pradesh. With elections drawing nearer, this blend of emotion, caste dynamics, and political positioning suggests that both parties are bracing for a high-voltage electoral contest, especially in key constituencies with a significant backward and minority population.
How Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak or the BJP responds to this latest salvo remains to be seen — but one thing is clear: the political rhetoric in Uttar Pradesh is only getting sharper.
