New Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal, lodged in Tihar jail in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case, has been given insulin for the first time after his arrest in Tihar.
It is being told that Arvind Kejriwal’s sugar level was continuously increasing, after which he was given insulin. Kejriwal’s sugar level had gone up to 320 and due to this, for the first time after his arrest by ED, he was given insulin in jail.
Sources in Tihar Jail say that we have been saying this from the beginning. Insulin and medicines are given not on the orders of Tihar officials and Aam Aadmi Party but on the suggestion of doctors. Yesterday the doctors felt that insulin should be given, so the doctors gave it.
Earlier, hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party workers and leaders had demonstrated in Tihar Jail on the issue of not giving insulin to Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal). Party workers had gathered outside Tihar to hold insulin doses and hold a symbolic protest against the jail administration. AAP leaders had asked Tihar Jail authorities to provide insulin to Kejriwal.
The Aam Aadmi Party had alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was being pushed towards ‘slow death’ inside Tihar Jail. The party had raised questions as to why the authorities were refusing to give him insulin. However, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena rejected this claim. He had cited the report of jail authorities on Kejriwal’s diet and insulin requirement.
Aam Aadmi Party described the insulin given to Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) as a blessing of Hanuman. It was written on the party’s X handle, ‘Bajrang Bali ki Jai. Eventually BJP and its jail administration came to their senses and gave insulin to CM Kejriwal in jail. CM Kejriwal’s sugar level had reached 320. This has become possible only with the blessings of Lord Hanuman and the struggle of the people of Delhi. We have been successful in delivering insulin to our Chief Minister.
