Hemkunt Foundation Cleans Maha Kumbh Ghats in Prayagraj, Showcasing Hindu-Sikh Unity

Prayagraj: In a heartwarming display of seva (selfless service) and communal harmony, a team of 10 Sikh volunteers from the Hemkunt Foundation embarked on a 14-hour journey to Prayagraj to clean the ghats of the Maha Kumbh. Their initiative not only helped maintain cleanliness at one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings but also symbolized the enduring unity between Hindus and Sikhs.

The Maha Kumbh attracts millions of devotees who take a sacred dip in the holy rivers, often leaving behind waste and debris. Understanding the significance of maintaining the sanctity of these waters, the Hemkunt Foundation team worked tirelessly to clean the ghats, ensuring a cleaner and safer environment for pilgrims.

Speaking about the initiative, Harteerath Singh, Director of Hemkunt Foundation, said:
“Sewa is the highest form of devotion. Our faith teaches us to stand by humanity, regardless of religion or background. Cleaning the ghats at Maha Kumbh was not just about waste management—it was about honoring a sacred space and reinforcing the idea that we are all one when it comes to serving others.”

The team’s efforts were met with immense appreciation from pilgrims and local authorities, further strengthening the message of unity and selfless service. Their dedication serves as a shining example of how small acts of kindness can bridge communities and uphold the spirit of humanity above all else.
