New Delhi: The third match of the four-match T20 International series between India and South Africa was played on November 13 in Centurion, where India won by 11 runs in a thrilling match.
With this win, India has equaled a world record of Australia. India has equaled Australia in terms of registering the most wins in T20 Internationals against South Africa.
Both India and Australia have defeated South Africa 17 times each in T20 Internationals. While Australia has defeated South Africa in 25 matches, India has defeated South Africa 17 times in 30 matches. West Indies is at number three in this list.
West Indies has defeated South Africa 14 times in 26 matches, while England has defeated South Africa 12 times in 26 matches. Pakistan is at number five, which has defeated South Africa 12 times in 22 matches.
Sri Lanka has defeated South Africa five times in 18 matches, New Zealand has defeated South Africa once in 15 matches. Talking about the match, batting first in Centurion, India scored 219 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Tilak Verma scored 107 runs in 56 balls and also became the Player of the Match. Apart from him, Abhishek Sharma scored 50 runs in 25 balls.
In reply, South Africa’s team could only score 208 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs and India won the match by 11 runs. Marco Jansen scored 54 runs in 17 balls and at one time it seemed that he would take the match away from India.
Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 37 runs in four overs. Varun Chakraborty took two wickets for 54 runs in four overs. India won the first match of the four-match series, while South Africa made a comeback in the series by winning the second match.
