Gonda: World Pharmacists Day was observed at Gonda Medical College with a special programme organised by the Youth Pharmacist Federation, Gonda, at the Covid Building. The event was chaired by federation district president Rohit Mishra and focused on patient care, health awareness and emergency lifesaving skills.
Chief Medical Superintendent Anil Kumar Tiwari attended as the chief guest, while SCPM Chairman Dr O.M. Pandey, Drugs Inspector Sumit Verma, Medical College Matron Sunita and other doctors and healthcare workers participated.
Fruit distribution was organised for patients as part of the programme, with federation office-bearers and members conveying a message of compassion, service and support.
Dr Ramesh Pandey conducted a CPR training session for pharmacists, explaining basic lifesaving assistance and the importance of timely intervention during emergencies. The training aimed to strengthen pharmacists’ preparedness to provide immediate assistance when required.
General Secretary Rakesh Shukla introduced the federation’s office-bearers and members and briefed participants about the organisation’s activities and the role of pharmacists in healthcare.
Vice-presidents Sanjay Awasthi and Harshit Mishra, Treasurer Sanat Kumar Pandey, Joint Treasurer Gopal Sahu, Anurag Tiwari, Joint Media In-charge Adarsh Shukla, Shastosh Shukla and other members were present.
