In 2023, Sunny Leone made her Cannes’ debut and left everyone floored! The actress was at the film festival for the premiere of her film ‘Kennedy’, which marked her first project with Anurag Kashyap. While Cannes is widely popular amongst the layman for the fashion displayed by the celebrities across the globe at its red carpet, Sunny left an indelible mark for her performance in ‘Kennedy’. She grabbed headlines for her strong portrayal in the film, which opened to standing ovation that lasted for seven minutes! It even became the first Indian film to close out the night at the Grande Lumiere theatre.

The response to ‘Kennedy’ made Leone a global phenomenon overnight. The actress had previously expressed her pride and happiness about the film’s success and the positive response it received. She had said that being recognised at the film festival feels different as it is also celebration of the entire movie-making process. The success of ‘Kennedy’ highlighted Sunny’s acting prowess, solidified her as a performer and brought her the much deserved recognition!
