New Delhi: BJP MP from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi will not contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024. This information has been given by his team. In the statement issued by the team, it has been said that he will campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Mother Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat.

Bharatiya Janata Party has not given Lok Sabha election ticket to Varun Gandhi from Pilibhit this time. In his place, BJP has fielded Jitin Prasada. BJP has again given ticket to Varun’s mother Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur.

Varun Gandhi had bought nomination papers, after which there were discussions that he could rebel against BJP and contest the Lok Sabha elections as an independent from Pilibhit. But his team has put an end to these speculations by issuing a statement.

Earlier, UP BJP President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh had said on Varun Gandhi’s ticket being canceled that this time the party has not given him an opportunity to contest the elections, but he is with us. The party leadership must have thought something better about him.

On Adhir Ranjan Choudhary inviting Varun to join Congress, Bhupendra Singh said that Varun Gandhi is a true soldier of BJP. There is full confidence that he will remain in BJP. He comes from Gandhi family and BJP made him MP thrice. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary had alleged that Varun is related to the Gandhi family. Therefore BJP has canceled his ticket.
