Greater Noida / Lucknow: Addressing the grand launch program of the second edition of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2024 at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida, the state’s Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Khadi and Village Industries, Silk Industry, Handloom and Textiles, Rakesh Sachan described the International Trade Show as a door to golden opportunities of global trade and investment for the entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh.
Minister Sachan extended a warm welcome to the Vice President of India on behalf of all the participants and said that his respected presence has further enhanced the dignity of the event. Along with this, he described Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the inspiration for this huge event and said that due to the able guidance and vision of the Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh is emerging on the global stage as the ‘Gateway to UP’ today.
Minister Sachan said that the main objective of organizing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2024 is to connect the industries of the state with the international market and expand business possibilities. He said that more than 3 lakh people had participated in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2023 held last year and buyers from more than 60 countries made this fair a success.
This time, the show is going to be even more extensive, with more than 4 lakh footfalls and participation of representatives from more than 70 countries expected. Minister Sachan informed that more than 2500 stalls related to defense, agriculture, industry, e-commerce, IT, textile, handloom, banking, dairy and GI products have been set up in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2024. This show has brought immense possibilities not only for big industrialists but also for small and medium enterprises.
He said that this trade show will prove to be helpful in taking the MSME sector of Uttar Pradesh to new heights by bringing together investors, manufacturers and customers from all over the world. Through the buyer-seller meet, the entrepreneurs of the state will get an opportunity to showcase their products in the international market and enter into business agreements. Specially mentioning the participation of women entrepreneurs and ODOP (One District, One Product) entrepreneurs, Minister Sachan said that this event is a great opportunity to showcase the small entrepreneurs and handicraftsmen of the state on a global platform, which will give them an opportunity for international recognition and business expansion.
Minister Sachan also highlighted the important steps taken to promote the MSME sector in Uttar Pradesh. He said that under the MSME Act 2020 by the State Government, entrepreneurs have been exempted from inspection for 1000 days, which has ensured ease of doing business.
Apart from this, Facilitation Councils have been formed in every division to expedite the pending dues of small entrepreneurs. Referring to the Micro Entrepreneur Accident Insurance Scheme, he said that under this, financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided, giving entrepreneurs a sense of economic security.
Referring to more than 25 sectoral policies in the state to increase investment and employment, Minister Sachan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, investment agreements worth more than Rs 40 lakh crore are being implemented rapidly in the state. Along with this, PM Mitra Textile Park, which is being set up in Lucknow, will soon make Uttar Pradesh a new hub of textiles.
He said that innovative schemes and policies have been implemented by the government to promote investment in Uttar Pradesh, which are taking the state towards making it a trillion dollar economy. After Noida, now Lucknow is also on its way to becoming a textile hub. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh will soon set new records of development and prosperity.
