Prayagraj: As part of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025, Uttar Pradesh Tourism has established a digital exhibition pavilion aimed at showcasing the state’s immense tourism potential to pilgrims and tourists from across the globe. The pavilion aligns with the overarching theme of Mahakumbh 2025—“Divine, Grand, and Digital”, according to Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh.
The exhibition features an anamorphic digital wall that highlights the state’s various tourism destinations. Visitors to the pavilion are introduced to not only the grandeur of the Mahakumbh but also Uttar Pradesh’s rich array of tourism offerings, inspiring them to explore the state further. Eco-tourism destinations, in particular, are drawing significant attention. The pavilion also celebrates the state’s cultural heritage, showcasing its renowned handicrafts alongside its spiritual and natural attractions.
A Digital Experience for Tourists
Minister Jaiveer Singh explained that the pavilion offers a holistic view of Uttar Pradesh’s cultural, spiritual, historical, and natural richness. An online quiz on Uttar Pradesh tourism is being hosted within the pavilion, with top participants receiving digital certificates. Additionally, AR and VR films created by the department are being screened to give visitors an immersive 360-degree view of the state’s tourist spots.
Facilities for Tourists
To further enhance the visitor experience, UP Tourism has set up information centers at Prayagraj’s railway stations, bus stands, and key locations within the Mahakumbh area, such as Parade Ground, Nagvasuki Temple, and Arail. These centers aim to provide tourists with essential guidance and promote the state’s attractions.
Uttar Pradesh: A Leader in Tourism
Highlighting the state’s tourism achievements, Singh noted that Uttar Pradesh leads in domestic tourism and is actively working towards attracting more international tourists. “Uttar Pradesh is one of the fastest-growing states in the tourism sector, and we are making every effort to achieve new milestones in foreign tourist arrivals,” Singh added.
The digital pavilion serves as a gateway to Uttar Pradesh’s rich tourism tapestry, combining tradition with modern technology to offer an engaging experience for visitors at Mahakumbh 2025.
