Akhilesh Yadav Alleges Recruitment Irregularities, Paper Leaks and Governance Failures in Uttar Pradesh

Prayagraj: Samajwadi Party President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh, alleging irregularities in recruitment processes, repeated examination paper leaks, corruption, and failures in governance.

Addressing a press conference in Prayagraj, Yadav claimed that the state government had failed to ensure fair representation in public recruitment and had not upheld the principles of social justice and reservation envisioned in the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Allegations Over Recruitment and Reservation

Yadav alleged that reservation norms had been violated in several recruitment drives, including the 69,000 teacher recruitment process conducted in 2019. He claimed that candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST) did not receive reservation benefits in accordance with prescribed quotas.

The Samajwadi Party leader said his party had released a report titled “PDA Audit – Part 1” highlighting alleged irregularities in 22 recruitment examinations. He asserted that the government had not responded to the concerns raised in the report.

Concerns Over Examination Paper Leaks

Highlighting unemployment and recruitment delays, Yadav accused the government of failing young job seekers. He alleged that several recruitment and competitive examinations had been affected by paper leaks over recent years, creating uncertainty for candidates and delaying appointments.

He stated that if the Samajwadi Party returns to power, candidates who lost eligibility due to delays and cancelled examinations would be granted a three-year age relaxation. He also promised a structured recruitment calendar with fixed timelines for notifications, examinations, and appointments.

According to Yadav, a future Samajwadi Party government would prioritize secure examination systems, digital monitoring, CCTV surveillance throughout the examination process, stricter action against those responsible for paper leaks, and fast-track judicial proceedings in such cases.

Remarks on Ayodhya and Donations

The former Chief Minister also raised concerns regarding alleged irregularities linked to donations and offerings associated with religious institutions in Ayodhya. He described such allegations as serious and said they affected public faith and trust.

Yadav claimed that people across Uttar Pradesh were seeking accountability and transparency regarding the management of public and religious funds.

Criticism Over Coaching Centre Fire Incident

Referring to a recent coaching centre fire incident in Lucknow, Yadav said stronger safety measures could have prevented the loss of lives. He emphasized the need for strict enforcement of safety regulations in educational institutions and public establishments.

Law and Order, Corruption, and Governance

The Samajwadi Party chief further criticized the state government over law and order, inflation, unemployment, and corruption. He alleged that ordinary citizens continue to face difficulties at various administrative levels and claimed that women’s safety remains a significant concern.

Yadav also questioned the government’s handling of policing and law enforcement matters, alleging misuse of administrative machinery for political purposes.

Commitment to Social Justice

Reiterating his party’s political agenda, Yadav said the Samajwadi Party remains committed to social justice, inclusive development, and strengthening opportunities for youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities.

He concluded by asserting that the INDIA alliance remains united and would continue efforts to strengthen cooperation among opposition parties in the future.
