LUCKNOW: On December 31, 2024, two accused individuals were arrested by the police for their involvement in preparing forged documents and committing land fraud in the Sushant Golf City area of Lucknow.
The case dates back to March 23, 2024, when a written complaint was filed by Jai Shankar Mishra, a resident of E-305, Paradise Crystal, Sushant Golf City, Sultanpur Road, Lucknow. According to the complaint, the accused had fraudulently created forged documents to sell a plot measuring 190 square meters from Khasra No. 29, measuring 0.3930 hectares, to the complainant for Rs 40 lakhs. The complainant later demanded the return of his money, but the accused not only refused but also threatened him with verbal abuse and harm.
A case under sections 406, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at the Sushant Golf City Police Station. During the investigation, the accused were summoned and interrogated, where they confessed to their involvement in the crime and admitted to preparing forged documents to carry out the fraudulent transaction.
The accused individuals were identified as:
- Manoj Yadav, 30, son of Rampher Yadav, a resident of Laxmanpur, Post Bakkas, Police Station Gosai Ganj, Lucknow. He works as a laborer.
- Deepak Kumar, 22, son of the late Asharfilal, a resident of Madharmau Kala, Sushant Golf City, Lucknow. He works as a painter.
Both accused were arrested and presented before the court for remand. The police team from the Sushant Golf City Police Station under the Southern Zone of Lucknow carried out the arrests.

The arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody after being presented in the court. Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
