Lucknow: Mayawati has declared Amla Municipal Council Chairman Syed Abid Ali, who left the Samajwadi Party and joined the Bahujan Samaj Party before the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, as the Amla Lok Sabha candidate. Abid Ali’s name was approved in the program organized by BSP. This made it clear that BSP will contest the Lok Sabha elections apart from the INDIA alliance.
Hundreds of supporters announced to leave SP and join BSP
In fact, Syed Abid Ali, who won the election of Municipality President in Amla on Samajwadi Party ticket, left SP and joined BSP on Sunday. After his decision, it became clear that he could be made the Lok Sabha candidate from Bahujan Samaj Party.
In a program organized in Amla, BSP’s Bareilly Moradabad division in-charge Zafar Malik and Bareilly division in-charge Brahmaswaroop Sagar announced his name. As soon as the ticket was announced, hundreds of his supporters announced to leave Samajwadi Party and join Bahujan Samaj Party.
Syed Abid Ali expressed gratitude to the BSP supremo and party officials. Also said that he will live up to the expectations of the party. During this, District President and in-charge of all the five assembly constituencies of Amla Lok Sabha constituency Rajiv Kumar Singh said that the party workers will contest the elections with full strength. Amla party candidate will perform better in Lok Sabha. During this time, apart from RR Tyagi, Hemendra, a large number of supporters of Abid Ali were present.
