Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal started “Voter Awareness Campaign” from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
At the state office of Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal on Ayodhya Road, trade leader Sanjay Gupta administered the oath of compulsory voting to the office bearers of the organization and the businessmen pledged to vote themselves and motivate others to vote.
After the oath ceremony, the officials of the organization carried out a public connect drive by taking out a march to the shops of Ayodhya Road and made the traders aware about the need for mandatory voting.
Organization President Sanjay Gupta said that the effort of Uttar Pradesh Adarsh Vyapar Mandal is to increase the percentage of voting in this Lok Sabha election and for 100 percent voting, Adarsh Vyapar Mandal is conducting a “Voter Awareness Campaign” in all the districts of the state including the capital Lucknow.
He said that under the voter awareness campaign, efforts will be made to cast as many votes as possible through padyatra, torch procession, foot march, voter awareness rally and public relations. He said that those who do not vote, they have no right to deliver democracy to the government. The biggest right the public has is the right to vote. Everyone should compulsorily exercise the right to vote.
