Kanpur: Techkriti 2025, the 31st edition of Asia’s largest technical and entrepreneurial festival, commenced with great enthusiasm at IIT Kanpur. The festival, themed “Panta Rhei”—Everything Flows, serves as a hub where technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation intersect. This year’s edition holds special significance as it pays tribute to the nation’s defense forces through Rakshakriti, a dedicated showcase of defense technology and competence.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including General Anil Chauhan, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, and Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, among others. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by insightful addresses from key speakers who highlighted the festival’s role in fostering innovation and national progress.
A Fireside Chat featuring Major General Dr. B. Naagrajan and General Anil Chauhan provided thought-provoking insights into the evolving landscape of defense technology and its implications for the future. The audience was then treated to a spectacular cultural performance by the Anuj Arjun Dance Company, adding an artistic flair to the ceremony.
As the night progressed, the festival continued its momentum with exhilarating performances. The stage came alive with Chinansha Sharma’s soulful music, followed by the high-energy act of KC Project, ensuring an electrifying atmosphere for all attendees.
The celebrations reached their pinnacle with the much-awaited Rock Night, where Mayank and his band, Madhyam, captivated the audience with their powerful and soulful performance, making it an unforgettable experience.
