Lucknow: The New Campus of City Montessori School, Shalimar OneWorld, zoomed with talents as children displayed their skills in various games and sports, art, craft, painting, music and dance. Chief Guest, Dr Vikram Singh, IPS, Ex-DG, Police and Chancellor of Noida International University lit the lamp of learning to inaugurate the programme. The Principal, Mrs Priyanka Agarwal warmly welcomed the guests. CMS Founder-Director Dr Bharti Gandhi, President, Dr Roger David Kingdon and Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, were graciously present at the summer extravaganza. Principals of various CMS Campuses, teachers and parents eagerly witnessed the colourful programme and enjoyed the musical treat presented by the students. Special Guest, RJ Vipul Vaibhav Gaur was present and his motivational ideas struck cord with the parents and students. The new CMS Shalimar OneWorld Campus is located near Ekana Stadium, Sector 6, Gomti Nagar extension, where classes are being held from Montessori upto Class VII and further expansion will take place as children increase. The Summer Camp has given the area much to look forward to.
Addressing the gathering of parents, students and teachers, the Chief Guest, Dr Vikram Singh said that CMS is totally involved in the well-being and development of children. The new Campus is fitted with all modern facilities and teaching aids and all safety measures for the children are clearly in place. The Campus has vast possibilities for furher expansion and development. CMS Founder Dr Bharti Gandhi said that mother is the child’s first teacher. She called upon the mothers to participate and cooperate in all school activities. Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon outlined the major achievements of the school during the past session highlighting achievements of CMS Alumni like Shubhanshu Shukla, who has been chosen by the ISRO for space travel on Gaganyan Mission, Aditya Srivastava who has topped this year in the Civil Services Examination with AIR 1 and Ananya Chaudhary selected on 2.8 crore scholarship by Harvard University. She said that the school is committed to providing quality education preparing the students for greater roles in future. CMS President, Dr Roger David Kingdon congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and wished them a bright future.
The programme began with school prayer and a musical drama. Children exhibited their skills in yoga, taekwondo, aerobics, sufi classical music, bharatanatyam, western dance and other items which spread joy among the audience. At the end, the Principal, Mrs Priyanka Agarwal thanked the guests for their wholehearted presence and support at the summer camp.
