Sufi Kathak Steals the Show at PAC Mahanagar’s Cultural Evening

Lucknow – A vibrant cultural evening was held at the 35th Battalion PAC Ground in Mahanagar to mark the conclusion of the 1st All India Handball Cluster Tournament. The event was a colourful display of music, dance, and artistic excellence, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage.

The highlight of the evening was a soulful Sufi Kathak performance by the Ratan sisters, Isha and Misha, along with their talented team—Riddhima Srivastava, Anshika Pathak, Shailendra, and Mohit Soni. Their graceful rendition to the Sufi kalaam “Mera Murshid Khele Holi” captivated the audience with its emotional depth and synchronized movements. The performance was preceded by a joyous Holi-themed dance set to the song “Holi Aayi Re”, spreading festive cheer among spectators.

The evening began with a colourful folk song and dance presentation by Sanjoli Pandey, directed by Vijay Agnihotri and Jyoti Mishra, setting the tone for the event.

A host of other performances added sparkle to the celebration. These included musical numbers by the Barish Band, soulful renditions by IPS officer Harish Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, and a host of PAC officials including Commandant Babita Sahu, Pramod Prabhakar Tamta, Monika Singh, and Sandeep Kumar. The energy and enthusiasm of Police Modern School students and the musical troupe from Bhatkhande Music University led by Mohit Kapoor were also highly appreciated.

The evening was graced by DGP Prashant Kumar, who attended as the Chief Guest, alongside several senior officials, adding prestige to the cultural celebration.

The event not only marked the conclusion of a successful sporting event but also highlighted the spirit of unity and joy through the power of performance and tradition.
