Gonda: Students led by student leader Ankit Shukla submitted a memorandum to North Eastern Railway Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) member Pankaj Kumar Srivastava at Gonda Junction, raising public concerns related to Bangai railway station.
The students demanded that an Intercity train be given a scheduled halt at Bangai station and that the timings of passenger trains be revised to better suit the needs of commuters.

According to the students, thousands of daily passengers, including farmers, traders, lawyers, students and people from other sections of society, travel through Bangai railway station. They said the existing train schedules often cause inconvenience to passengers and urged the railway authorities to take prompt steps to improve services.
The students said an Intercity halt at Bangai would provide significant relief to residents of the surrounding areas. They also called for changes in passenger train timings based on commuter requirements.

Several people, including ZRUCC member Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, BJP leader Umesh Srivastava, Amit Verma and Danish Ali, were present when the memorandum was submitted.
Srivastava assured the students that the issues concerning Bangai station would be raised before the General Manager during a meeting scheduled for Friday. He said the passenger-related demands would be discussed in detail for possible resolution.
