Bareilly: SRMS Riddhima recently witnessed a mesmerizing evening of Bharatanatyam performances as talented students and esteemed gurus paid homage to Nataraja Shiva, the cosmic dancer. The program commenced with Mangalam, where students Bobby, Bhaavya, Sanskriti, and Adya captivated the audience with their graceful movements.
Adya Grover and Aditi showcased their prowess in Adavu Mala, while Bhaavya offered a heartfelt Pushpanjali. A stunning rendition of Kirtanam followed, performed by Sakshi, Chiranya, Parya, Radhya, and Bandagi. In Gogula Nilaya, Adya, Bhaavya, and Sanskriti exhibited their elegant synchronization, leaving the audience spellbound. Bobby’s vibrant performance in Jathiswaram added energy and dynamism to the evening.
The program’s highlight, Paras Thillana, featured Bharatanatyam Guru Tanay Bhattacharya performing alongside students Adya, Bhaavya, and Sanskriti. Guru Robin added a soulful touch with a performance on Chandrachuda, accompanied by Suman Biswas on the mridangam and Suraj Pandey on the flute.
The event was graced by prominent personalities, including SRMS Trust Chairman Dev Murti, Asha Murti, Richa Murti, Usha Gupta, Dr. Prabhakar Gupta, Dr. Anuj Kumar, and Dr. Rita Sharma, among other distinguished guests. Their presence added to the grandeur of the celebration, making it a memorable tribute to the art of Bharatanatyam.
